Bestfriend^^

Best friends.
It's the word that will rejoice ur mind,
whenever u're in trouble
whenever u're sad
or whenever u're lonely.

They're kind of people
who sing when u're happy
who mourn when u're sad

They're people who might have nothing to give but L-O-V-E ^^

Growth of Fetus in Third Trimester

28th Week
It's 15 inches long and weighs around 1-1.5 kg. The eyes can open and close now. The eye color had appeared but actually may changes especially the one with blue or gray eyes. It slept for 20-30 minutes at a time.

29th Week
The bones are developed completely but still soft and delicate. The movements are more powerful.

30th Week
Mom transfered nutrition through placenta to umbilical cord.

31st Week
The reproductive organ continues to develop (if boys, testicles move from kidney to scrotum through groin). Lungs also developed though not mature yet.

32nd Week
It sleeps 90-95% of a day. Sometimes fetus dreams because it experienced REM during sleeping.

33rd Week
Now it can detect light. It gains 0.75 kg in a week. Fetus can survive if born at this age though would need full attention.

36th Week
It's 16-19 inches tall and weighs 3-3.25 kgs.

39th Week
Mom's placenta provides antibody. It had enough fat to maintain body temperature.

40th Week
The weight is about 3.75 kgs. Placenta would separate from uterus and the umbilical cord stopped working when baby breathe air for the first time. The way the baby breathe will change the structure of heart and arteries which force all bloods to pass lungs.

Growth of Fetus on Second trimester

14th Week
The muscles are growing and more organized. Mother can feel when the fetus is kicking and moving.

15th Week
It has adult's taste buds now. And the skin starts to appear.

16th Week
It's 5.5 inches tall and weighs 170.1 grams. Some of the hairs had appear, such as eyebrows and eyelashes. Now it can kick and grasp its hand. The eyes are sensitive to light.

17th Week
The fat stores began develop to provide energy and makes it warm.

18th Week
It starts to be able to hear some voices and able to swallow.

19th Week
Now the kidney produces urine and it excreted to amniotic sac. Protective paste covers the ears.

20th Week
Now it can hear and recognize mom's voice. The fingernails and fingerprints started to appear. Sex organs are visible. There's probability that it will be survived when born at this age.

21st Week
It began to absorb small amounts of sugars through swallowed amniotic liquid. Now, its bone marrow able to produce blood cells.

22nd Week
It weighs about 500 grams. The uterus and ovaries are in place. But for baby boys, their testes descent from abdomen.

23rd Week
The skin becomes less transparent. Lungs prepared to function before fetus born. The body produces surfactant (substance which allowed air sacs in the lungs to inflate).

24th Week
Lanugo (downy hairs) grows and covered with waxy skin (vernix). The sense of balance have developed It started to be able to breathe by inhaling amniotic fluid to the developing lungs

25th Week
The hand has fully formed thought the nerve connection hasn't finished.

26th Week
It weighs about 0,75 kg-1 kg. The eyelashes and eyebrows are well formed. The hairs on head are plentiful and longer.

27th Week
The lungs, liver and immune system began more mature. The size tripled from 12 weeks. If fetus born at this age, the survival percentage would be 85%.

Growth of Fetus in First Trimester

1st Week
At this phase, it's called zygote. Zygote moves from fallopian tube to uterus. The size is as big as a head pin. It divides rapidly and grow to form embryo.

2nd Week
The sperm and ovum merge in fallopian tubes and form zygote one living cell. If more than 1 ovum fertilized, there might be more than 1 zygote. Zygote has 23 chromosomes from mother and 23 from father. Chromosomes contain genetic material. After fertilization, zygote travels down to uterus through fallopian tube. It divides rapidly and form a group of cells looks like raspberry, named morula. The inner group becomes embryo, the outer becomes the membrane that nourish and protect it.

3rd Week
Now this phase named blastocyst. It has 500 cells and only 1/6 inch. The blood cells were produced by yolk sac. It starts to form backbone, spinal cord, nervous system, kidneys, liver and intestines.

4th Week
Fetus produces hormone which stop mother's menstruation cycle. It's 1/25 inch long. It consists of 3 layers:
- Top layers (ectoderm):will be neural tube, where brain, spinal cord, spinal nerves and backbone will develop
-Middle Layers (mesoderm):it is the foundation for baby's bones, muscles, kidneys and other reproductive system
-Inner Layers (endoderm):simple tube lined with mucous membranes, where lungs, intestines and bladder will develop.

5th Week
The placenta starts to do its role, heart starts to beat. The complex brain formed from neural tube which enlarges 3 parts. Spine and spinal cord grows faster than the body and give the appearance of the tail. It's 1/17 inch long. Blood vessels will complete the circuit.

6th Week
The fetus now 1/8 inch long. Heart beats with regular rhythm. The neural tube closed and basic facial features begin to appear.

7th Week
Liver starts to form and produce blood cells. The major muscle system is developed. Eyes have lens and retina, mouth and tongue are visible. And it also starts to move.

8th Week
It's 1/2 inch tall. It can move and swim. Arms and legs grow and fingers can be seen. Brain waves also can be measured. The heart beats 150 times for a minute.

9th Week
It reaches 1 inch tall and weighs 3,25 grams. The head is nearly half of body size.  Pancreas, bile ducts, gall bladder and anus are in place. Ovaries start to develop and embryonic tail has shrunken.

10th Week
The 20 baby teeth are formed in the gums. The embryonic tail has disappeared completely. Now it has full separated fingers and toes. The eyelids are no longer transparent and the brain produces about 250.000 new neurons every minute. In baby boy, their testes starts to produce testosterone.

11th Week
Placenta grows larger to nourish fetus. From now until 20th pregnancy week, its weight will increase 30 times and the height will be tripled. In the end of the week the external genitalia would develop into ditoris and labia majora. But for baby boys, their external genitalia would be visible penis and labia majora.

12th Week
The brain is fully formed. Now fetus able to feel pain. It also can cry silently and sometimes sucks the thumb. It's 3 inches tall and weighs 23 grams. The head still a half of body. Chin and nose are visible.

13th Week
Tissues which later form the bones are appeard in head, arms and legs. The tiny ribs will appear soon.
